About

Hey, my name is Roberta, and I’m a Sculpture student at VSVU/AFAD based in Bratislava, Slovakia.

My work explores the intersection of architecture and material experimentation, using natural and industrial materials like travertine, clay, cement, and metal. I investigate their structures, limits, and transformations, drawing inspiration from erosion and time’s impact on matter. These processes reveal hidden layers, reshaping solid forms with new visual and symbolic meaning.

I deconstruct materials through industrial techniques such as sandblasting, drilling, and imprinting, balancing precision with unpredictability. This interplay between control and spontaneity reflects natural cycles of decay and endurance, linking materiality to architecture and historical memory.

My sculptures seek equilibrium between mass and fragility, geometry and organic form, permanence and loss. I see form as both a crafted object and a response to external forces. Recently, I have expanded into functional design, experimenting with inverted forms and exposed structures. My work becomes a record of the dialogue between the natural and industrial, the historical and contemporary, precision and chance.
